Report from Bucharest, Romania: Email Marketing Masterclass with Michael Leander

On 7 July 2010, nearly 150 marketers attended the Email Marketing Masterclass in Bucharest, Romania. Here is my brief report about the event.

Organized by InterContact Romania, this was the first time the Email Marketing Masterclass took place in Romania. While I have not yet received feedback to learn how the attendees rated the event, I was quite pleased with the event. Once again InterContact demonstrated their expertise at event organization.

With a big room auditorium style, it seemed at first difficult to get interactivity going. But I was really happy to see how willing the attendees were to participate. It made the experience for me really great.  I will followup with a more complete report as soon as possible.

    I also attended the conference, which I enjoyed very much, it was not only informative, but also very interesting and lively.

    I haven’t received the presentation either, but I’m sure with your help now I will.

    There was a question I meant to ask you back then, and I wonder if you would kindly give me a short answer to it here.

    My question concerns the legal aspect of email marketing. Here is my case: I’m sending emails from a Romanian server, but I work for a Swiss-Romanian B2B company that has clients and prospects all over the world.

    As national legislations are different in this matter, WHICH is the legislation I should obey when I send my bulk email?
